Video: Russian Girls Just Wanna Have Fun...in the Car [NSFW]

Though we like to assume that we're fairly open when it comes to music, we must admit that we've never had the chance to look [pun intended] at the lovely voices of the trio of girls that form the Russian pop group Serebar Serebro - or if we did, we never knew it was them, in which case, shame on us.

But thanks to an extremely educating video ofwhat not to do while traveling in the car, we were obligated to share this new music clip of Elena Temnikova, Olga Seryabkina and Anastasia Karpova – or at least that's the name of the singers listed on the all-knowing Wikipedia.
Before you open the video to watch the daily struggles of young Russian women traveling on the road, beware; the clip is NSFW [Not Suitable For Work / Wife].

Nissan Juke-R: Insane Super Crossover with 530HP GT-R Powertrain! [Video]

If you thought that the Nissan Juke's design was pushing the envelope a wee bit too far, wait until you see what the Japanese carmaker's engineers are readying. Meet the Nissan Juke-R, one of the craziest ideas we have heard in a long, long while. And yes, the 'R' in the name is what you think it is: the heart and soul of the…Godzilla!

A team over at Nissan Europe came up with the bright idea of fitting the Juke small crossover with the engine and drivetrain ofthe latest GT-R. The street legal prototype is currently being developed by Nissan and built by motorsports outfit RML with input from Nissan Technology Centre for Europe (NTC-E).
Lying under the hood is the GT-R's 3.8-litre twin-turbo V6 engine, which in standard form generates 530-horses at 6,400 rpm and 612Nm (451.4 lb-ft) of peak torque between 3,200 and 6,000rpm.
Nissan's engineers mounted the Godzilla's six-speed transaxle under the boot while the front and rear ends are joined by a modified GT-R 4WD driveline and prop shaft.
The Japanese company plans to modify the exterior with a wide body carbon-fiber aero kit that includes several GT-R-style touches such as the hood vents and rear wing, while the Juke-R will ride on 20-inch RAYS forged alloy rims wrapped around high-performance ties.
On board, the standard Juke's dashboard has been modified to accommodate the gauges, dials and 7-inch customizable LCD display from the GT-R. The driver and the passenger get race-seats with five-point harnesses while the rear seats have been stripped out in order to place a FIA specification racing roll cage.
"Juke lends itself perfectly to a sports derivative and Juke-R explores that territory," said Paul Willcox, Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing for Nissan in Europe.
"Equally at home on road and track, Juke-R showcases two of the most exciting cars in our range and highlights the technical innovation that drives Nissan. This car will more than live up to the dynamic driving experience we engineer into all our cars," he added.
Nissan said it is going to build two examples of the Juke-R, one in left-hand-drive and the other in right-hand-drive. While there are no current plans for production, we wouldn't be surprised if Nissan went ahead and built a limited production series if there is enough interest from the public.

Video: Toyota Supra Drifter Outwitted by Cop on Roundabout

A jazzy driver in a fourth-generation Toyota Supra was filmed trying to have some drifting fun on a roundabout at the expense of the police. After the patrol car tried to follow the Supra on the roundabout the cop outsmarted the driver by turning off his emergency lights and placing the car in the middle of the road.

Given that the police car appears to be a VAZ-2110 (otherwise known as the Lada 110), we presume that the scene took place in Russia or a nearby country. Video follows below.
Hat tip to Mohammed for the find!

BMW Singapore Pulls a Performance Prank on 1-Series Coupe Owner [Video]

In one of the more intriguing marketing stunts we've seen of late, BMW of Singapore has launched a part-promotional, part-prank project entitled "Switch".

The Bavarian automaker describes the gig thusly: "The BMW Switch is a fun collaborative project between the public and BMW Asia to switch unsuspecting BMW drivers' current cars with a similar model that has been enhanced with original BMW Performance Accessories."
In the first episode launched, the accomplice is a woman aptly named J. while the victim, who is the owner of a standard BMW 1-Series Coupe, is a young female simply referred to as K.
When K. parks her car in a garage and steps out for an appointment, her friend snips the keys away and hands them over to a BMW crew that switch her vehicle with another 1-Series Coupe in the same color but enhanced with BMW Performance Power Kit and Silencer System.
To increase the drama, they park the powered-up 1-Series Coupe in a different spot and record the owner's reaction upon firing up the engine.

Raw Video: Driverless Ford Thunderbird Gone Wild

Firefighters are used to receiving strange rescue calls, but an incident that took place in Wildwood, New Jersey this past Sunday tops them all. Local firemen were called in to deal with a…driverless 1970 Ford Thunderbird that was spinning out of control in reverse!

"We never had to deal with a car going in a circle," Captain Christopher D'Amico told NBC40news. "We were concerned that it would change trajectory when it was bouncing up on the curb, that the tire would go in an opposite direction and send it into something else," he explained.
According to the firefighters, the owner of the old Thunderbird got out of the car to switch places with the passenger but the gearshift accidentally slipped into reverse. "Soon as they got out, the car took off, they tried chasing it down, obviously, that's how the door got opened," said D'Amico.
Eventually, Captain D'Amico was able to get into the car and turn off the engine. "I got into the inside circle of the car, which was a lot slower and shorter, and the passenger side window was down, I just hoofed myself into the car, shut it off and put it in park. It came to a stop," he told reporters.
NJ authorities said one unnamed man was slightly injured when he tried to get into the car.

Dude, I Drive a BMW: Sarcastic Video Take on Bimmer Owners

There are [insert brand here] drivers, and then there are [insert the same brand here] drivers. Naturally, we've all heard the stereotypes and jokes about people that own cars sporting the famous badge that looks like a propeller blade set against a blue sky – but which as it turns out, was actually created to represent the colors of the Free State of Bavaria.

A group of young people decided to visualize some of those stereotypes and create a video parody about BMW owners. Some of the sketches work better than others, but overall, we gather that the clip is worth two-and-a-half minutes of your time.
